Admission Assessment
A personal interview with a member of the administrative staff is required of each prospective student and parents/guardians.
Those desiring to enroll in kindergarten must be five years old on or before August 31. Those desiring to enroll in 1st grade must be six on or before August 31.
All kindergarten students will take a readiness assessment to check such items as language development and motor skills.
All 1st grade new enrollees to CCS will take a readiness assessment to determine reading proficiency.
New students enrolling in grades 2-3 may be administered a Wide Range Achievement Test used to evaluate the child’s academic potential.
Admission Acceptance
The school administration will evaluate all admission information and reach a decision concerning acceptance.
Each student’s admission or rejection will be by written notification. Students are not enrolled until official notification has been received.
