DeeAnn Allen was raised in Pittsburg, KS. She received her bachelor’s degree in communication from Pittsburg State in 1997 where she graduated with honors and received the Outstanding Senior Woman for PSU award. She went on to attend Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, VA and received her Juris Doctorate in 2000.  She is active in the Pittsburg community and serves as Treasurer of the Board for the Vie Medical Clinic. She also sits on the CCS school board in an ex-officio capacity.  DeeAnn and her husband Terry have three children – Jonathan, Hannah and Joshua.  Joshua and Hannah attend CCS.

Mrs. Allen says:

“I know in my heart that there is no other place I’m supposed to be than here at CCS.  It has been so rewarding and humbling to see how God has blessed this school and put things in place well before the first steering committee meeting back in 2005. I am blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing staff, school board and group of students.”

Shana Kelley, Kindergarten

Shana Kelley teaches full day kindergarten at CCS.  Kelley is a 1997 Summa Cum Laude graduate from Pittsburg State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.  Kelley’s teaching experience over the course of 12 years has been preschool through fifth grades.  Her classroom teaching experience includes teaching preschool through first grades.  In addition, Kelley was the school-wide mathematics coordinator at R.V. Haderlein Elementary School in Girard for grades K-5.  Kelley has served on a number of curriculum, professional development, and accreditation committees throughout the years as well. Mrs. Kelley resides in Pittsburg with her husband, Darin, a teacher and coach at Pittsburg High School, and their two children, Sean and Kamryn.

Mrs. Kelley says:

“I feel so blessed to be teaching here at CCS.  It is so powerful to be teaching the students in a Christ-centered environment.   We are able to prepare these students for a strong spiritual life and also to provide them with an above standard education.  That we are given the wonderful opportunity to pray throughout our day and to openly discuss and learn about our Lord is the best gift I could share with the students, families, and instructors here at CCS.  I’m blessed to call this my life’s work.”

Teresa Jameson, 1st and 2nd Grade

Teresa is the first and second grade teacher at CCS. She graduated with honors from Pittsburg State University with a BS in Education and a minor endorsement in early childhood in 2007. Before coming to CCS she homeschooled four of her five children while operating a daycare business. She is a member of the NAEYC National Association for the Education of Young Children. Teresa is an active member of Lighthouse Tabernacle Church where she serves as the choir director and praise leader. Teresa enjoys singing, acting, learning new things, and spending time with family. She is also a professional barrel racer in the American Cowboys Rodeo Association and American Barrel Racers Association and owns several registered quarter horses. She lives in Pittsburg with her husband Bruce. Their children are Jake, Austin, Jessica, Hunter, and Colten. Bruce owns and operates the local Archery and Taxidermy business in Pittsburg.

Mrs. Jameson says:

“What can I say, I love my job! I am truly blessed to teach in a Godly environment where Christ is the center of it all. Teaching at CCS has allowed me to be myself and give back to God my time and talent. And what a blessing to have the freedom to instill Godly values into my students!”

Patricia Harris, 3rd and 4th Grade

Patricia Harris teaches third and fourth grade. Harris received her bachelor’s degree in education with a major in elementary education, from Pittsburg State University in 1976. She has completed a total of 18 years of teaching grades one through four at Fort Scott Christian Heights School in Fort Scott. Mrs. Harris and her husband, Jim, have two children.

Mrs. Harris says:

“Working at CCS gives me the opportunity to encourage students to include God, the true source of all knowledge and wisdom,  in every part of their lives.”
