Ed Martin, Chairperson – Mr. Ed Martin is a science teacher in his 37th year at SM-Colgan High School here in Pittsburg.  Mr. Martin feels fortunate that in both his teaching career at SM-Colgan and his involvement with CCS, he has the opportunity to acknowledge God as Creator. Mr. Martin and his wife, Terry, have been married for 37 years.  They have been blessed with 3 children and 11 grandchildren.  Their two sons are ministers and their daughter is a teacher and housewife residing in Iola, Ks.

Melinda Adair, Secretary – Mrs. Melinda Adair attended Cincinnati Bible College for two years before transferring to Pittsburg State University for her B.S in Elementary Education and her M.S. in Special Education.  Mrs. Adair has been teaching students with special needs for the last 18 years. As an active member of Countryside Christian Church, Melinda has worked with youth of all ages,  Special Needs Adults and the Mission Committee.

Nancy Seybold, Treasurer

Orville Brill – Dr. Orville Brill is an active member of Countryside Christian Church where he serves as an elder and a Bible teacher. Dr. Brill recently retired from Pittsburg State University where he served as the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Physics. He has been a member of the School Board of CCS since 2006.

Larry Thornburg – Mr. Larry Thornburg graduated from Friends Bible College with an A. A. in 1959. He received a B. S. from Fort Hays State University in 1962 and a M. S. from Fort Hays State University in 1964.  He returned to Friends Bible College as a teacher in 1965 and served as Dean of Students for one year.  Mr. Thornburg began teaching at Pittsburg State University in the fall of 1973 and retired in May of 2009.  He is an active member of the Pittsburg Church of the Nazarene where he has served on the Church board,  as worship leader, Sunday School Teacher, and Director of Men’s Ministries.  Mr. Thornburg and his wife work with couples in their church, setting up marriage retreats and couple counseling. Mr. Thornburg attended Friends Bible Academy in Haviland, KS and says this is where he became established in his Christian walk, making Christian education very important to him.
